The American Police Hall of Fame and Museum is the only facility of its kind in the United States dedicated to the following goals:
- Recognize the noteworthy contributions of law enforcement professionals;
- Posthumously memorialize the lives of law enforcement officers fallen in the line of duty;
- Provide meaningful programs for fallen law enforcement officer’s surviving families;
- Enrich the public’s awareness, understanding and appreciation for contributions made by the law enforcement sector;
- Maintain a museum in a manner that produces a meaningful visitor experience and aspires to the highest standards;
The American Police Hall of Fame and Museum is funded by donations from people all over the nation that believe in and uphold the values of American Law Enforcement.

The American Police Hall of Fame and Museum is a program service of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.
